action figures

Boromir 12 inch figure

Sideshow Toy have produced a (along the same lines as the Alec Trevelyan figure from a few years ago). Edition size for the regular figure is set at 2000 pieces. There is also a figure which came with the addition of a severed Orc head and an Elven cloak with brooch. This may well turn up on the Second Chance listings nearer the time of shipping so it is worth keeping an eye on the website, you can also join the Wait List to be in with a better chance. This figure is also being stocked by Forbidden Planet in the UK.

Boromir action figure

ToyBiz (Marvel) created 6 inch action figures for FOTR. Boromir was available in a double pack with Lurtz. The Boromir figure is an excellent likeness of Sean (the actors were laser scanned to ensure accurate reproduction of features). It comes with a detachable cloak, shield, sword/scabbard and Horn of Gondor. The costuming is also reproduced very well, and the overall detailing and articulation is superb. This pack is now quite hard to find in the UK but may turn up on eBay. There is also a single Boromir figure that was released in the red Two Towers packaging.

The Boromir/Lurtz twinpack is available from amazon.com. A five-figure pack of Boromir, Lurtz, Moria Orc, Merry and Pippin has been released in the US. Search on amazon.com for LOTR-related toys.

Boromir 3 inch figure set

"Attack at Amon Hen" is one of a series of figures and sets in the Armies of Middle Earth series. These are 3 inch figures, and this set contains Boromir, Merry and Pippin.

These figures are available at many toy outlets including Toys R Us in the UK.

Armoured Boromir action figure - picture from Altered States magazine

Two new Boromir action figures are due out in 2004 - Super Poseable Boromir (similar to the original Toybiz model from 2001), and Armoured Boromir, in Gondorian Armour. Pictures from Altered States magazine online. Click on the images to see larger versions.

Boromir minimate figure

Minimates are a range of "Lego"-type figures, standing around 2.5 inches tall. They are very well articulated and come with such accessories and tiny swords and scabbards. A Boromir figure is available, probably in a two-pack with a Gimli figure (due late 2004). Picture from Lord of the Rings Guide.

These figures should be available at specialist retailers such as Forbidden Planet (UK).

sculpted bust

Boromir bust

A beautiful collector's piece by Sideshow/WETA, the bust stands approximately 8 inches tall and is cast in heavy polystone. Again the detailing and colouring is excellent, the only exception being the eyes which are blue rather than green!

Available now, from Comet Miniatures (UK) and from Sideshow. This is now a "retired" item no longer in production, and only ships from the US warehouse.

statue

Boromir statue

Another Sideshow/WETA piece, this is a 12 inch i.e. one sixth scale statue of Boromir. Boromir is depicted about to draw his sword, with his shield slung across his back. This figure is not classed as Sold Out at Sideshow, however they do have a waiting list.

Available online from Forbidden Planet (UK), Comet Miniatures (UK) and from Sideshow. Sideshow now also ship from a European warehouse, so if you're in Europe/UK this offers a much better deal. We are now also an affiliate of Sideshow Toy, commission earned from sales via this site is donated to charity, please see the donations page for details.

pewter goblet by royal selangor

Boromir pewter goblet

Royal Selangor have an extensive range of quality pewter items based on Tolkien's Middle Earth. The Boromir goblet is a new addition in autumn/fall 2002. This is a solid pewter goblet, 19.5 cm (approx 7.5 inches) tall and very heavy. Boromir's name is inscribed on his collar, and the base is the Horn of Gondor. I own one of these, and it is a beautiful piece and a good representation of Sean as Boromir. The brooding gaze follows you around the room!

Available from many jeweller's and other china/giftware shops in the UK, and online from Royal Selangor and Fantasy Pewter (both ship internationally); also Household China and Gifts (Canada) and various other outlets (search on royal selangor pewter tolkien as keywords). Also see Royal Selangor's special LOTR pewter website.

Boromir figure from Burger King (tm)

Burger King in the US issued a set of LOTR figures, which fastened into a central One Ring. Each figure either lit up, had a sound byte, or both. The Boromir figure says "You carry the fate of us all, little one" in Sean's voice from the film. There are apparently several different versions of the figure, one with a shorter cloak. The figure carries the Horn of Gondor. The figure is no longer available at BK shops but can be obtained from Randy's Fast Food Toys (US-based), mint in pack at a very reasonable cost (click on 2001 then LOTR listing).
